Cleansol Laundry Booster Powder is an alkaline booster that you add along with your main detergent to lift oil, grease and old oxidised oil stains from heavily soiled fabrics. Its builders and alkaline action loosen stubborn dirt so the detergent can wash it away – ideal for hotel and restaurant linen, chef coats, kitchen dusters, uniforms and engineering overalls. Just 5–11 g per kg of dry clothes. Packs: 1 kg jar, 5 kg bharni and 25 kg bag. Made by Cleansol in Jodhpur since 2002.

What a booster does
Detergent alone struggles with oil and grease – especially in kitchen and restaurant linen, where cooking oil oxidises into yellow, sticky stains. A booster raises the alkalinity of the wash and adds builders that soften the water and break up oily soil, so the same detergent cleans far better. Instead of doubling the detergent, you add a small dose of booster.

Weigh the dry fabric. Add the booster together with your normal dose of detergent – it does not replace the detergent.

How to use
In the machine
- Weigh the dry load and sort it by soil level.
- Add the booster with the main detergent – in the detergent compartment or dissolved in the wash water.
- Run the main wash for 30 minutes for light soil and 45 minutes for heavy soil, at 70–80 °C in commercial machines (home machines: the hottest setting the fabric allows).
- Rinse well. In commercial laundries, add Fabric Sour in the last rinse to neutralise the alkali.
Pre-soak for very dirty items
Dissolve 10–30 g in 10 litres of warm water, soak heavily soiled items for 30 minutes to 1 hour, then wash in the machine as usual. Wear gloves when soaking by hand.

Good to know
- Fabrics: for cotton, poly-cotton and sturdy work wear. Not for wool, silk, delicates, or garments labelled dry-clean only or hand wash only.
- Colours: best for whites and colour-fast fabrics. Test dark or bright colours on a hidden spot first.
- Not a detergent: always use it together with your main detergent.
- Moisture-proof pack: close the lid or bag tightly after use to keep the powder free-flowing.

Safety & storage
- Alkaline powder: avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear gloves when handling or soaking by hand. If it gets in the eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
- Do not mix with acids or chlorine bleach in the same container.

- Store closed in a cool, dry place.

What is a laundry booster?

How much booster for a 50 kg load?
250 g for light soil (bedsheets, towels), 350 g for medium soil (pillow covers) and 550 g for heavy soil (chef coats, napkins, kitchen dusters, overalls).
Can I use it in a home washing machine?
Yes – about 35–75 g with your normal detergent for a 7 kg load of oily or heavily soiled cotton clothes. Use the hottest setting the fabric allows.
Can I use it instead of detergent?
No. It is made to boost the detergent, not replace it. Always use both together.
Is it safe for coloured clothes?
It is best for whites and colour-fast fabrics. Test dark or bright colours on a hidden spot first. Not for wool or silk.
Why use a sour after the booster?
Booster and detergent leave the fabric alkaline. A fabric sour in the last rinse neutralises it, so linen feels softer and does not turn yellow or smell.
