About this item
- Anhydrous sodium sulphite 99%: Inorganic reducing salt that reacts rapidly with dissolved oxygen and chlorine in water.
- Oxygen scavenging and dechlorination: Removes dissolved oxygen from boiler feed water to reduce corrosion, and neutralises residual chlorine before RO membranes.
- Main applications: Used in boiler water treatment, RO dechlorination, textile dyeing and bleaching, pulp and paper, photography and leather.
- Typical dosage: About 8 ppm per ppm of dissolved oxygen plus 20–40 ppm residual in boilers; about 1.8 ppm per ppm chlorine.
- Industrial grade powder: White crystalline powder, packed 500 g to 50 kg. GST invoice.

Storage & handling
Slowly oxidises to sulphate in moist air – reseal after use.
Keep away from acids and oxidisers.
Safety & first aid
PPE: Safety goggles, gloves, dust mask when handling powder.
First aid: Eyes – rinse with water for 15 min; Skin – wash with water; Inhalation – move to fresh air, seek medical help if breathing is difficult; Ingestion – rinse mouth, drink water, seek medical advice.
Spills: Sweep up dry avoiding dust and collect in closed container; flush residue with water.
Do not mix with: Acids (release SO2), strong oxidisers, chlorine bleach in concentrated form.
