- Clear humectant solvent: Propylene glycol (propane-1,2-diol), a clear, colourless, nearly odourless liquid fully miscible with water and alcohol.
- Moisturises and dissolves: Attracts and holds moisture, improves spreadability and dissolves fragrances, extracts and actives.
- Main applications: Used in creams, lotions, serums, shampoos, gels, fragrance bases, room sprays and as a carrier solvent.
- Typical use level: About 1–10% in creams, 3–15% in serums and gels, up to ~40% as fragrance solvent.
- Cosmetic grade liquid: Cosmetic grade clear colourless liquid in 500 g to 25 kg packs. GST invoice.
