About this item
- Strong alkaline potassium salt: Anhydrous potassium carbonate powder, highly soluble and hygroscopic, giving strongly alkaline solutions.
- Builder and pH adjuster: Provides alkalinity, buffering and water-softening support, and is the preferred alkali for potassium-based liquid soaps.
- Key applications: Used in liquid soap and detergents, specialty glass and ceramics, potassium silicate, rubber, textiles and fertiliser blends.
- Typical use level: Use about 2–20% in detergents or as required for pH adjustment; dissolve slowly in water as it releases heat.
- Industrial grade powder: Industrial grade white powder/granules in 1 kg to 25 kg packs. GST invoice.

Storage & handling
Very hygroscopic – reseal immediately after use to prevent lumping.
Keep away from acids.
Safety & first aid
PPE: Safety goggles, nitrile/rubber gloves, dust mask in dusty conditions.
First aid: Eyes – rinse immediately with water for at least 15 min and get medical help; Skin – remove contaminated clothing, wash with plenty of water; Inhalation – move to fresh air; Ingestion – rinse mouth, give water, do not induce vomiting, get medical help
Spills: Sweep or vacuum up avoiding dust; collect in a labelled container; rinse residue with water.
Do not mix with: Acids (vigorous CO2 release and heat), ammonium salts.
