About this item

  • Petroleum hydrocarbon solvent: Mineral turpentine oil is a refined aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent boiling roughly 145–205 °C with moderate evaporation rate.
  • Thins and cleans: Reduces viscosity of oil-based paints and varnishes and dissolves grease, oil, wax and resin residues.
  • Main applications: Used for thinning enamels and varnishes, brush cleaning, metal degreasing, wood polishes and printing inks.
  • How it is used: Add 5–10% to enamel paints or as per paint maker's advice; use neat for cleaning and degreasing.
  • Industrial grade liquid: Clear water-white liquid, packed 1 L to 200 L. GST invoice.

Storage & handling
Store in a cool, well-ventilated flammables area away from heat, sparks and flames.
Keep in tightly closed, earthed metal or approved HDPE containers.
Keep out of sunlight; avoid vapour build-up indoors.
Keep away from oxidisers.
Safety & first aid
Hazard: Flammable liquid and vapour; may be fatal if swallowed and enters airways; vapours may cause drowsiness or dizziness; repeated contact dries skin; harmful to aquatic life.
PPE: Solvent-resistant (nitrile) gloves, safety goggles; organic vapour respirator in poor ventilation; no smoking.
First aid: Eyes – rinse with water for 15 min; Skin – remove contaminated clothing, wash with soap and water; Inhalation – move to fresh air, seek medical help if symptoms persist; Ingestion – do NOT induce vomiting, seek medical help immediately.
Spills: Remove ignition sources, ventilate, absorb with sand or earth using non-sparking tools; keep out of drains and waterways.
Do not mix with: Strong oxidisers (peroxides, nitric acid, chlorine, hypochlorite).
