About this item
- Hygroscopic magnesium salt: Magnesium chloride hexahydrate flakes, highly water-soluble and moisture-absorbing, supplying magnesium and chloride ions.
- Binds moisture and dust: Draws moisture from air to keep surfaces damp, controlling dust and lowering the freezing point of water.
- Wide industrial use: Used for dust control, de-icing, magnesia (Sorel) cement, textile finishing, coagulation and as a magnesium source in blends.
- Easy to dose: Dissolve in water; typically 20–35% brine for dust control or de-icing, and 0.5–5% in industrial formulations.
- Industrial grade, flakes: Industrial grade white flakes/crystals in 1 kg to 25 kg packs. GST invoice.

Storage & handling
Very hygroscopic – deliquesces if left open to humid air.
Keep away from strong oxidisers; avoid storing directly on bare steel (corrosive to metals when wet).

PPE: Safety goggles, nitrile/rubber gloves, dust mask in dusty conditions.
First aid: Eyes – rinse with water for 15 min, seek medical advice if irritation persists; Skin – wash with soap and water; Inhalation – move to fresh air; Ingestion – rinse mouth, drink water, seek medical advice
Spills: Sweep or vacuum up avoiding dust; collect in a labelled container; rinse residue with water.
Do not mix with: Strong oxidisers; keep away from reactive metals when wet.
