How it works – 3 stages
- Neutralise: add LABSA to water, then the caustic solution slowly, and check pH with the strips.
- Build: add SLES, CDEA, EDTA and the preservatives one by one, stirring gently.
- Finish: thicken with salt, add colour and fragrance, rest overnight and fill.
You will also need
- Two clean plastic buckets (10–15 L) and a plastic or wooden stirrer
- A measuring jug and a kitchen scale
- Rubber gloves, goggles and a mask
- Clean bottles or cans with caps for filling

Safety
- LABSA and caustic soda are corrosive. Always wear gloves, goggles and a mask.
- Always add chemical to water – never water to chemical. Caustic solution gets hot.
- Work in a ventilated area, away from children, pets and food.
- Label your finished bottles clearly and keep them out of reach of children.

How much does the kit make?
About 5 litres of liquid laundry detergent and 5 litres of dishwash, following the recipe card.
I have never done this before. Is it difficult?
No. The recipe card takes you step by step, and the pH strips help you check the batch. Most people finish in about an hour, then let it rest overnight.
Do I need any machine?
No. Plastic buckets, a stirrer, a measuring jug and a kitchen scale are enough for this batch size.
Can I change the colour or fragrance?
Yes. Once you are happy with the base, you can buy other colours and fragrances separately for your own variants.
Can I sell what I make?
Many customers start a small business this way. Before selling, check the local requirements for labelling and licences in your state.
