About this item
- Glycol stearate ester: EGMS is the monoester of ethylene glycol and stearic acid, a waxy solid melting at about 55–60 °C.
- Pearlescent and opacifying: Crystallises in surfactant systems to give a pearly sheen, opacity and slight viscosity build.
- Main applications: Used in shampoos, hand washes, body washes, liquid soaps, creams and lotions.
- Typical use level: Use 1–3% for pearl effect; melt into the hot surfactant phase at ~70 °C and cool slowly with stirring.
- Cosmetic grade flakes: White to cream waxy flakes, packed 500 g to 25 kg. GST invoice.
