About this item

  • Mildly acidic chelating agent: Disodium EDTA dihydrate binds calcium, magnesium, iron and copper ions, giving a pH of about 4–5.5 in solution.
  • Stabilises formulations: Prevents metal-catalysed discolouration and rancidity, improves foam in hard water and supports preservative efficacy.
  • Main applications: Used in shampoos, creams, lotions, liquid soaps, detergents, laboratory titrations and micronutrient formulations.
  • Typical use level: Use 0.05–0.2% in cosmetics and 0.1–1% in detergents and cleaners.
  • Cosmetic / industrial grade powder: White crystalline powder, packed 100 g to 25 kg. GST invoice.
