About this item

Cleansol Demineralised Water (DM water) is deionised water with all dissolved salts and minerals removed – it reads a perfect 0 TDS on a standard TDS meter. No minerals means no white scale, no deposits and no damage to battery plates. Use it wherever distilled or mineral-free water is needed: inverter and car batteries, steam irons, humidifiers, coolant mixing, cosmetics, soap making and general lab work. From 2 L for homes to 50 L for workshops, dealers and factories.

Where to use
Use Why DM water
Inverter, UPS & solar batteries Tap or RO water minerals coat the plates and shorten battery life
Car, bike, tractor & e-rickshaw batteries Keeps lead-acid cells topped up without adding impurities

Humidifiers & air coolers No white dust on furniture, no scale on pads
Car radiator coolant & washer fluid Mix concentrates with mineral-free water to prevent scale
Cosmetics, soap & candle making Consistent batches, no mineral reactions
Schools, colleges & general lab work Rinsing glassware, making solutions, experiments

Not for
  • Medical use: not for injections, dialysis, wound cleaning, CPAP, nebulisers, autoclaves or any medical or hospital equipment.
  • Drinking or cooking: mineral-free water is not meant for drinking.
  • Pharmaceutical or analytical-grade lab work (such as HPLC) – use certified water for these.
How to use in a battery
  1. Switch off the inverter or vehicle and let the battery cool.
  2. Open the cell caps and check the level indicator or the marks on the battery.
  3. Top up each cell with DM water up to the max mark only – never overfill.
  4. Close the caps and wipe off any spills. Check every 1–2 months, more often in summer.

Never add acid to top up a battery – only water is lost during charging.

Storage
  • Keep the can tightly closed after use so dust and air do not get in.
  • Pour out what you need – never dip a dirty mug or funnel into the can.
  • Store in a clean, cool place away from sunlight and chemicals.
Frequently asked questions
Is DM water the same as distilled water?

Both are mineral-free. Distilled water is made by boiling and condensing; DM water is made by removing minerals with ion-exchange resins. For batteries, steam irons, humidifiers and general lab use, DM water works the same way and reads 0 TDS.

Can I use RO water in my inverter battery?

No. RO water still has some dissolved salts (usually 20–100 TDS). Over time these minerals coat the plates and reduce battery life. Use 0 TDS DM water.

How do I check that it is 0 TDS?

Dip any standard TDS meter into a clean glass of the water – it should read 0. Use a clean, dry glass, as any residue will raise the reading.

Can I drink it or use it for medical purposes?

No. It is for batteries, appliances, cosmetics and general lab use only – not for drinking, cooking, injections, wound care or medical equipment.

How much water does an inverter battery need?

Usually 1–2 litres every 2–3 months for a typical home inverter battery, more in summer. A 5 L can lasts most homes for a year.

Which pack size should I buy?

2 L or 5 L for homes; 10 L for workshops and offices; 25 L and 50 L for battery dealers, service centres, labs and factories (freight extra). For bulk supply, WhatsApp 98290 05860.

For battery, appliance, cosmetic and general laboratory use only. Not for drinking or medical use. For bulk or technical queries, email info@cleansol.in.
