  • Aliphatic polyamine: Diethylenetriamine is a strongly alkaline liquid amine with five reactive N–H hydrogens per molecule.
  • Fast epoxy curing: Cures liquid epoxy resins at room temperature and serves as a building block for polyamides and imidazolines.
  • Main applications: Used in epoxy hardeners, DTPA chelant, corrosion inhibitors, fabric softeners, paper wet-strength resins and fuel additives.
  • Typical use level: About 11 phr with standard liquid epoxy (EEW ~190); stoichiometric in synthesis.
  • Industrial grade liquid: Colourless to pale yellow liquid with ammoniacal odour, packed 500 ml to 50 L. GST invoice.

Storage & handling
Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area in tightly closed steel or HDPE containers under dry conditions.
Absorbs moisture and CO2 from air and yellows – keep sealed.
Keep away from acids, oxidisers, copper and brass.
Safety & first aid
Hazard: Corrosive; causes severe skin burns and eye damage; toxic in contact with skin; harmful if swallowed or inhaled; may cause allergic skin reaction; combustible liquid.
PPE: Face shield and goggles, butyl or nitrile gloves, chemical apron; respirator for amine vapour in poor ventilation.
First aid: Eyes – rinse immediately with water for 15 min and seek urgent medical help; Skin – remove clothing, wash with plenty of water for 15 min, seek medical help; Inhalation – move to fresh air, seek medical help; Ingestion – rinse mouth, do not induce vomiting, seek urgent medical help.
