About this item
- Concentrated organic acid: Glacial acetic acid is a clear, colourless liquid with a pungent vinegar odour, fully miscible with water.
- Descaling and pH control: Dissolves limescale and soap scum and lowers pH in cleaning concentrates, textile baths and processes.
- Main applications: Bathroom and sanitary descalers, surface cleaners, textile dyeing, rubber latex coagulation and chemical synthesis.
- Typical use level: Dilute to 2–10% for routine descaling, up to 10–20% for heavy scale; always add acid to water.
- Industrial grade liquid: Clear colourless liquid in 500 ml to 50 kg packs. GST invoice.

Storage & handling
Keep away from heat, sparks and open flames.
Glacial acid freezes below ~16 °C – thaw gently, never with direct flame.
Store away from oxidisers and alkalis.
Safety & first aid
PPE: Acid-resistant gloves (butyl/neoprene), chemical goggles and face shield, apron; use with good ventilation.
First aid: Eyes – rinse with water for at least 15 min, seek medical help immediately; Skin – remove contaminated clothing, wash with plenty of water; Inhalation – move to fresh air, seek medical advice; Ingestion – rinse mouth, do not induce vomiting, seek immediate medical help
Spills: Remove ignition sources; contain with sand/earth; neutralise cautiously with soda ash or lime, then flush with plenty of water.
Do not mix with: Chlorine bleach/hypochlorite (releases chlorine gas), strong oxidisers (nitric acid, peroxides, permanganate), strong alkalis.
