Why the water turns milky
Citronella oil does not dissolve in water on its own. We disperse it into a fine, stable emulsion, so when you add it to your bucket the water turns milky white. That milky look is a sign of real citronella oil in every drop – not just a perfume added for smell. The emulsion spreads the oil evenly across the floor while you mop, so the whole room carries the aroma.
Citronella and mosquitoes
Citronella has been used across India for generations to keep homes fresh and free of mosquitoes and flies. Our customers use it for exactly that – many tell us they notice fewer mosquitoes after evening mopping, especially in ground-floor flats, bungalows with gardens and homes near open areas.
💡 For the best effect: citronella is a natural, light oil, so its aroma is strongest during and just after mopping. Always dilute – never use neat on floors. Shake well before use.
How to use
- Sweep or vacuum the floor first.
- Shake the bottle, then add 25–50 ml to 8 L of water – the water turns milky.
- Mop with a well-wrung mop. No rinsing needed.
- Wipe doormats, window sills and balcony railings with the same solution.
- Let the floor air-dry with windows open – the aroma fills the room as it dries.

Does it really help with mosquitoes?
Citronella oil has a natural aroma that has long been used to keep mosquitoes and flies away, and many of our repeat customers buy it for exactly that. The aroma is strongest during and just after mopping, so mop in the evening for the best effect. It is a floor cleaner, not a registered mosquito repellent.
Why does the water turn milky?
Because it is a real citronella-oil emulsion. The milky look shows the oil is evenly dispersed in the water.
How long does the aroma last?
It is strongest while mopping and for a while after, then fades naturally – citronella is a light, natural oil. Use 50 ml per bucket in the evening if you want a stronger aroma.

Yes. It is suitable for marble, granite, kota, tiles and sealed natural stone at the recommended dilution.
Can I use it in a diffuser or on my skin?
