About this item
- C16 fatty alcohol: Cetyl alcohol is a white waxy long-chain fatty alcohol melting at about 46–50 °C.
- Thickens and stabilises emulsions: Builds viscosity, acts as co-emulsifier and gives a smooth, non-greasy feel to creams and conditioners.
- Main applications: Used in creams, lotions, hair conditioners, lip balms, ointment bases and as a foam stabiliser.
- Typical use level: Use 1–5% in creams and lotions and 0.5–3% in conditioners; melt into the oil phase at ~70 °C.
- Cosmetic grade flakes: White waxy flakes, packed 500 g to 25 kg. GST invoice.
