About this item
- Natural castor seed oil: Cold- or expeller-pressed vegetable oil rich in ricinoleic acid (~85–90%), giving high viscosity and polarity.
- Emollient and conditioning oil: Forms a glossy protective film, softens skin and hair and helps disperse pigments in balms and lipsticks.
- Cosmetic and industrial uses: Used in hair oils, lip balms, soaps, creams, Turkey red oil, lubricants and as a base for oil derivatives.
- Typical use level: Use 5–30% in hair oils and balms, 5–10% of oils in soap; use neat for industrial lubrication.
- Cosmetic grade liquid: Pale yellow viscous oil, packed 500 ml to 25 L. GST invoice.

First aid: Eyes – rinse with water for 15 min; Skin – wash with soap and water; Inhalation – not expected, move to fresh air if mist inhaled; Ingestion – rinse mouth, do not induce vomiting, seek advice if large amount swallowed.
Spills: Absorb with sand, sawdust or inert absorbent; floors become slippery – clean with detergent; oil-soaked rags can self-heat, keep wet or in closed metal bin.
Do not mix with: Strong oxidising agents.
