About this item
- Iron-free aluminium sulphate: Non-ferric alum (hydrated aluminium sulphate) with very low iron, giving clear, colourless solutions without staining.
- Effective coagulant and clarifier: Neutralises charges on suspended particles so turbidity and colour settle out quickly for clear water.
- Water, paper and textiles: Used in drinking and wastewater treatment, swimming pools, paper sizing, textile dyeing and mordanting, and leather tanning.
- Dose by jar test: Typically 10–50 mg/L for water clarification; dissolve in water first and confirm exact dose by jar test.
- Industrial grade, lumps/powder: Industrial non-ferric grade, white lumps or powder, available in 500 g to 20 kg packs; GST invoice.

Storage & handling
Protect from moisture to prevent caking
Solutions are acidic – use HDPE, FRP or stainless steel, not mild steel
Keep away from alkalis
Safety & first aid
PPE: Safety goggles, rubber gloves, dust mask when handling powder.
First aid: Eyes – rinse immediately with water for at least 15 min, lifting eyelids, and get urgent medical help; Skin – wash with soap and water; Inhalation – move to fresh air; Ingestion – rinse mouth, drink water, seek medical advice if unwell
Spills: Sweep up dry without raising dust and reuse or dispose; flush small residues with plenty of water, neutralise with lime or soda ash.
Do not mix with: Strong alkalis (caustic soda, lime – heat release), reactive metals in solution (aluminium, zinc).
